About Liz Moore
With over 30 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to working within and beside nonprofits of all sizes and missions. As the former Executive Director of the Montana Nonprofit Association, I have insight into the intricate workings of internal nonprofit systems as well as the external complexities nonprofits navigate every day. My tenure on the Board of the National Council of Nonprofits, which I chaired in 2023-2024, has further enriched my understanding of the challenges nonprofits face. Prior to my role at MNA, I spent 16 years in anti-poverty initiatives, focusing on mental health, disabilities services, and homelessness prevention. I hold a Master of Nonprofit Management from Regis University and currently serve as an adjunct professor in the graduate Nonprofit Management program at University of Montana.
My favorite workday is one in which we work together to create stronger links between why the organization exists, the organization's values, and how the work actually happens. I'm a generalist who has some specialty areas, knows what is not in my wheelhouse, and enjoys asking good questions, co-thinking, and fostering connections within the nonprofit ecosystem.
